General Questions About Us

What is your photography style?

Some words that describe our style of photography are film, candid and romantic.

We don’t do a lot of posing, but we DO guide our couples by putting them into a position and getting them to interact normally. This makes for a more natural photo that looks like you.

Click here to view our portfolio!

Do you offer wedding cinematography?
We don’t offer directly through AGP, but we do have several videographers we work with on a regular basis who we love! Ask us for recommendations!
Our venue is very dark, how do you handle this?

We use several different types of lighting for all situations. We are prepared to shoot in any environment, regardless of available light.

If you’d like to see a wedding gallery where we shot in dark environments, please shoot us an email after your inquire and we can send that over to you.

Do all your wedding collections include two photographers?

Yes! Every wedding we shoot, you’ll get Abigail and Andy as your photographers.

We also bring an assistant to any wedding where the coverage is longer than 6 hours.

What do you wear to weddings?

Both Abigail and Andy dress as if they were a guest coming to your wedding to blend in. Abigail typically wears a dress or a dressy jumper. Andy wears pants, a shirt, vest and tie.

We also don’t wear any super loud colors, so you won’t see Abigail wearing one of her signature yellow dresses to your wedding 😜.

What equipment do you use for shooting weddings?

Both Abigail and Andy use professional grade DSLRs and Mirrorless cameras. Abigail shoots with Nikon and Andy shoots with Fujifilm. We always bring at least 3 cameras EACH in the case of failure. Each of our cameras also have two memory card slots incase of failure.

How do you manage our photos and backups?

We have a pretty extensive process of backing up your images. At any given time your photos will be stored in at least 3 locations.

Photographer Data Backup Process

What is the best way to get in touch with you?

We have a lot of platforms to manage, so the best way to get in touch with us is via email. Just simply reply to the last email we sent you.

Please do not message us on multiple platforms, especially our personal social media outlets. There’s a good chance we won’t see the message and it’s possible that it’ll go unanswered. So please shoot us an email!

Where is your studio located?

We are located in historic Allentown NJ! We love this town and the old rustic feel of the building we are in! There is so much history here, ask us about it!

Simply inquire with us by clicking here and filling out this form. Once you fill out our form, you’ll get an email from us, and in that first email is our wedding collections brochure!

How do we schedule a consultation with you?

Once you get our wedding collections brochure and you’d like to meet with us, the next step would be to set up a wedding consultation with us!

We do all of our wedding consults virtually via video conference like Zoom.

You can schedule your consult by clicking the “Schedule your consult with us” link in the email we sent you!

You’ll be able to select a date and time to meet with us. The link to the meeting will be sent to the email you used to sign up for the meeting!

How do we book with you?

Once you’ve had your consultation with us and you’d like to book us, the process is easy!

Once you’ve selected a package and told us which you’d like to book we can get started.

In order to be officially booked with us, you’ll need to sign our contract and pay the booking retainer of 25% of the total package price.

Once those two things are completed, you’ll be officially booked and you can schedule your engagement session with us!

Do you shoot destination weddings?

Of course! We love to travel and will go wherever the job will take us!

When do travel charges apply?

Travel charges only apply when we have to travel more than 2 hours away from our studio (located in Allentown, NJ).

Basically, travel charges will apply if we have to book a hotel stay or fly somewhere.

Weddings that are further than a 2 hour drive, we’ll charge for mileage, and 2 nights hotel stay (the night before your wedding and the night of).

Weddings that are further than 6 hours away or any international weddings, you’ll also be responsible for flights for Abigail and Andy.

This is something that should be discussed at your wedding consultation.

Before Your Wedding

When can we schedule our engagement session?

Once you’re booked, you can schedule your engagement session for whenever you’d like! We usually recommend 4-8 months prior to your wedding.

If you’re using the photos from your engagement session for save the dates for invites, you may want to schedule it earlier.

What are your engagement sessions like?

Our engagement sessions have two parts. The first part is a little more informal, relaxed and lifestyle. Typically, we would start off in your home or doing an activity. We focus on the connection between both of you. Sometimes we even get a little more intimate with some couples boudoir.

Then the second part is the more formal, traditional type shots. This can be at a location of your choosing.

Sessions last about 3-3.5 hours. This includes travel time from location to location.

What is the turn around time for the engagement photos?

Typically our turn around time is usually around 4-6 weeks BUT could be longer during peak times, specifically Spring and Fall.

How do I download our engagement photos when they're done?

You can download your files from our client gallery site, www.AbigailGingeraleClients.com

Abigail will email you your unique gallery link to your email when they are ready.

You can download your entire gallery to your computer or one-by-one on your mobile device.

The guide to download your images can be found by clicking here.

How involved with creating our day-of timeline?

We have an extensive Wedding Questionnaire that will be sent to you 3 months prior to your day. Your questionnaire needs to be filled out and submitted 2 months prior to your day.

We will then generate a wedding day timeline and a family formals checklist for your wedding day, based on your answers you submitted in the questionnaire.

You will need to set up your timeline call 1-3 weeks prior to your day to review all that info. You’ll be prompted to schedule that, so keep an eye on your email about a month before your date for that.

When is our balance due?

All wedding balances must be paid by 30 days before your wedding day.

That means if you’re mailing a check, the check must be to us by that payment date.

Any invoices that are paid after that date, a $250 late fee will be added to your final invoice.

Your Wedding Day!:

The Day Of

How can we get in touch with you on the wedding day?

Abigail and Andy will send you an email the week before with their personal cell numbers for day of logistics.

Please do not email us because we may not see it before we arrive on the day of.

What if things run late on our day?

This is one of the biggest reasons why we’re so involved in the timeline process for your day. We build in buffers throughout the day incase things run late so we can make up that time without having a huge impact on other wedding day activities.

What happens if it rains or snows on our wedding day?

This is something that happens every-so-often. We’ll be adventurous as you want to be. We actually love shooting in the (light) rain and snow. It really allows ut to get creative and creates a really fun and romantic look to your photos. We also bring clear umbrellas with us so we can shoot in the elements.

After your Wedding:

Photo Delivery and Products

What is the turn around time for our wedding photos?
You’ll receive your wedding photos at your wedding reveal. You can schedule that for 2-3 months after your wedding date.

You’ll get an email from us a month BEFORE your wedding to schedule that with us.

All of your collections include a "photo reveal". What is that?

This where we show you all your wedding photos! WOO! We hold all of our reveals at our studio in Allentown, NJ.

We’ll show you a slideshow of about 200 of our favorite images. We’ll also show you a sample album design and wall art with your photos. We will also go through the album and product ordering process with you.

Bring a snack and a bottle of wine and let’s take the evening to go through and enjoy all your photos that you’ve been waiting for!

We typically schedule our couples reveal sessions 2-3 months after the day of your wedding. We’d want to schedule something during the week if possible, but could possibly do a weekend, if our schedule permits.

What is the turn around time for our album and wall art?

Printed wall art products will typically arrive 30 days after you order them.

Albums can take 2-4 weeks to arrive once they’ve been ordered. Our album company does have a holiday deadline, so if you want your album before the winter holidays, please ask us about this deadline so we can get you your album in time for the holidays.

How many photos can I expect with my wedding collection?

For weddings, you can expect anywhere from 600-900 images depending on the package. Some of our full-day and all-inclusive wedding collections will yield over 1000 photos.

Do we own the copyright to the photos?
Abigail Gingerale Photography is sole owner of the copyright to our images. However, you do receive printing rights with your package. We offer a variety of print packages including a variety of albums, wall art, and prints.
Can we print our photos?

Absolutely! Just be aware that common places to print your images typically are not calibrated to represent the true colors which can throw off the colors drastically on the print.

In order to get accurate colors and photos that won’t fade or fall apart over time, we recommend printing your images through our professional printing lab.

Do you deliver every photo you shoot?

No. We cull through and pick out the very best pictures for you to have. We take out the ones where people are blinking, if it is blurry, or even test shots.

Do you retouch all of the final photos we receive?
All of the digital images you receive will be hand-edited (We do general corrections, but we do not retouch to alter a person’s weight or appearance. Any request for additional retouching can be made but may be subject to additional charges.) We put hours into carefully editing your images.
Do you provide RAW files?
No, we never deliver RAW files. You receive only the best-edited images, and only the finished product. Delivering the RAW filed would be like delivering a cake without icing and décor on it.
What if I lose my digital photos?
No worries! We save your photos forever. Your gallery lives online forever! We also keep all the hard copies of your photos. They live on multiple of our hard drives, and when those hard drives are full, they get packaged up and put in storage.

General Questions

What is your photography style?

Some words that describe our style of photography are film, candid and romantic.

You can check out our boudoir portfolio by clicking the link below.

Click here to view our portfolio!

Do you share my images?

Our number 1 priority making sure our clients are comfortable, especially with boudoir! It can be a life-changing experience, but that also makes it nerve-wracking! Sometimes, you are learning how to love your body and you aren’t quite ready to share the images with the world, or sometimes these photos are specifically for your spouse aren’t for anyone else’s eyes.

These are all great reasons for not sharing your photos, and it all depends on your personal preferences! If there are photos that I would like to share, I will ask your permission first, and only share what you are comfortable with!

Do you Photoshop my images?

I do edit your images for light, exposure, and color balance. I do NOT however edit anything “out” that is permanent! I think it can be damaging to have a boudoir session done, and then edit out parts of yourself that make you who you are!

Part of the process of accepting yourself and seeing your beauty also means not photoshopping out parts of yourself you don’t like. If there are parts of yourself that are learning to love and aren’t thrilled about, that is okay! We are skilled in posing and lighting to make you look your absolute best and brings out your shine!

What type of print products do you have?

We offer a variety of albums and luxury glass boxes with prints in them! The glass legacy box with the 8×10 matted prints are my favorite. I absolutely love the feel of picking up a physical print, it’s so surreal to see yourself like that!

”20 glorious and glossy pages from the boudoir shoot that I flip through myself every chance I get. I think I look at them more than he does. It’s a daily reminder that my self-image has completely changed after having my boudoir shoot.” –Alex, on her experience at her boudoir shoot!

Do you offer digitals?

All of our packages include some sort of print product, but there is also an A La Carte list that you can choose from as well! On this list we have an option to add on digital images! These digital images come in a locked online gallery, for you to download and share.

Is hair and makeup included?

Hair and makeup is included in all of our boudoir shoots! I think it’s really important for you to feel pampered, and having your hair and makeup done is a great way to do that! Our amazing team can help you complete your look, whether that’s “I just woke up like this” or Full on glam! You can bring any ideas you want for your makeup and we can try to use it for inspiration!

Do you offer payment plans?

We offer a few payment options! There is a booking retainer to book your shoot, and the balance is due 2 weeks before the date of the shoot! If you want more time to be able to pay off the shoot, you can schedule it a few months out, and pay it off in payments! Let me know if this is something that you want to set up!

How do you manage photos and backups?

We have a pretty extensive process of backing up your images. At any given time your photos will be stored in at least 3 locations.

Preparing for Your Session!

Do I have to wear lingerie?

You definitely don’t have to specifically wear lingerie, it depends on your personality! There are a BUNCH of outfit ideas other than lacy little things! Head over to this blog about choosing outfits to see some more ideas!

Where should I buy outfits?

There are a few places to buy outfits from and it depends on what you are getting and the style of your shoot! Here is a long list to choose from with different style and sizing! Victoria’s Secret, Forever21, Adoreme.com, Torrid, eberjay.com, Aerie, foreveryourslingerie.cahipsandcurves.comjasminestaceycollection.co. If you are looking for something specific that you can’t find, let me know and I might know where to get it!

I’m freaking out! How can I calm my nerves?

Nerves are all part of the experience! I always say that it would probably be weird if you WEREN’T nervous. The nervousness at the beginning of your shoot makes your moment of “WOW” seeing your photos for the first so much better!

How many outfits should I bring?

This depends on your package. The blush package is 1-2 outfits, the Glam package is 2-3 outfits, and the Luxe package is 3-4 outfits! I always say to bring more if you can’t decide and I will help you decide at your shoot!

Should I get to my shoot early?

You should always plan on getting to your shoot about 10 minutes early so we can talk about your outfits and colors and make a plan for hair and makeup!

When is my balance due?

All boudoir balances must be paid by 14 days before your session.

That means if you’re mailing a check, the check must be to us by that payment date.

Any invoices that are paid after that date, a $150 late fee will be added to your final invoice.
